Meet the people who make it all possible
My name is Tori Moore. I joined The Bluffs family as the Assistant Administrator in 2021 and am now the Executive Director. I was born in Missouri but grew up in Alabama. I moved back to Missouri in 2009 and have been working in long-term care ever since. I have experience in administration, finance, social work, marketing, and human resources- all in the long-term care setting. I received my administrator’s license in June of 2022. I absolutely love my job! I have a heart for serving and cannot imagine a better place to do it. In my spare time I draw and paint (I’ve even sold a few pictures). I am a volunteer with Volunteer for Veterans. I also serve on the security team and outreach team at my church. I have a dashingly handsome husband and three beautiful children, two boys and girl. My oldest son has made me a proud Army mom!
I am Amanda Brown and I am the Admissions Director. I joined Team Bluffs in 2015 after graduating from the University of Missouri with a Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences. Prior to coordinating admissions, I was a care coordinator for long-term care and memory care. My role as Admissions Director allows me to help others and serve as a resource for the community! When not at work, I am a fur-mama to my dogs Remi and Max. I love scrapbooking & crafting in my spare time. My husband, Matt, and I are season ticket members for the Kansas City Chiefs.
I am Kayla Twenter and I am the Clinical Liaison at the Bluffs. I joined this role at the Bluffs in April 2022, previously working at this facility, in the Therapy Department, as an Occupational Therapy Assistant for 6 years. I have enjoyed working in skilled nursing and acute care. I enjoy reading, being outside and shopping. Outside of work, I am a Momma to two kiddos – Ada and Stetson and married to my husband Shane. Long Term Care is where my heart is!
My name is Amanda David and I have been a Nurse since 2003 – I graduated from Nichols Career Center in Jefferson City, MO. I also attained my CNA in high school. I have been in the long-term care setting most of my nursing career. I have functioned in many roles – charge nurse, wound care nurse, ADON, MDS coordinator and now infection control prevention. Nursing truly is my passion in life! I am looking forward to working with a great team and being part of helping our residents stay safe and healthy.
My name is Janell Irvin and I am the Care Coordinator for Oak, our Short Term Rehab unit. I have worked in Long Term Care for about 35 years. I joined the Bluffs Team in 2021. I began my journey as an Activities Assistant when I was in college and fell into the Social Services role when someone went on maternity leave and that’s where I found my niche. I love getting to know residents and families navigate the long term care journey. My favorite part of my job is helping those who are safely able to return home get there. I am married to Rob and we have 2 sons, Bryce and Spencer.
I am Erica Utterback, and I am the Director of Life Enrichment. I have worked at the Bluffs for 22 years. I began working as an NA, then CNA and on to many different roles such as the Scheduling Coordinator, Restorative Therapy Aide, Activity Assistant and then on to my current role as Director of Life Enrichment. In my free time I am a fur mama, enjoy going on hikes, camping, telling jokes and billiards. I like to live by the saying, “Growing old is inevitable, but growing up is optional.”
